Ministry of Environmental Protection Releases Four Soil Testing Standards
In order to implement the "the People's Republic of China Environmental Protection Law", protect the environment, protect human health, and standardize environmental monitoring, the Ministry of Environmental Protection recently approved four soil testing standards including the "Soil Electrical Conductivity Measurement Electrode Method.
The Electrode Method for the Determination of Soil Electrical Conductivity (HJ 802-2016) specifies the electrode method for the determination of soil electrical conductivity. Suitable for the determination of air-dried soil conductivity.
"Determination of 12 Metal Elements in Soil and Sediment Aqua regia Extraction-Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometry" (HJ 803-2016) stipulates the inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry for the determination of 12 metal elements including cadmium, cobalt, copper, chromium, manganese, nickel, lead, zinc, vanadium, arsenic, molybdenum and antimony in soil and sediment by aqua regia extraction.
"Determination of 8 Effective Elements in Soil Diethylenetriamine Pentaacetic Acid Leaching-Inductively Coupled Plasma Atomic Emission Spectrometry" (HJ 804-2016) stipulates the inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometry for the determination of 8 effective elements of copper, iron, manganese, zinc, cadmium, cobalt, nickel and lead in soil by diethylenetriamine Pentaacetic acid leaching.
"Determination of Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons in Soils and Sediments by Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry" (HJ 805-2016) provides for the determination of 16 polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons in soils and sediments by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry.
It is reported that these standards will be implemented on August 1.
